Walla Walla Valley Little League, from Walla Walla, Washington, captured the 2017 Little League Baseball® Northwest Regional tournament by defeating La Grande Little League, from La Grande, Oregon, 4-3.

Oregon's effort to come back from down four runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 4-3 to Washington on Saturday. Oregon scored three runs in the failed comeback on a groundout by Logan Williams in the third, a in the third, and a double by Logan in the sixth.
Oregon lost despite out-hitting Washington nine to six.
Caiden Thomsen earned the win for Washington. He tossed three and a third innings, allowing two runs, four hits, and striking out eight. Carson Jones recorded the last eight outs to earn the save for Washington. Sam Tsiatsos took the loss for Oregon. He went six innings, giving up four runs, six hits, striking out nine, and walking zero.
Oregon collected nine hits. Jace Schow, Logan Williams, and Brady Hutchins each collected multiple hits for Oregon. Brady, Logan, and Jace all had two hits to lead Oregon.
Caiden went 0-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.
