Lake Air Little League, from Waco, Texas (Southwest Region), won the 2017 Little League Softball® World Series tournament by defeating Rowan Little League, from Salisbury, North Carolina (Southeast Region), 7-2.
Southeast captured the lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Brooke Kennerly drove in one run when she singled.

Southwest took the lead for good with three runs in the first inning. In the first there was an error, scoring one run, Kendall Robinson uncorked a wild pitch, scoring one run, and Makayla Ramos singled off of Kendall, driving in one run.
Southwest scored four runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Yanijah Quintanilla and a single by Makayla.
Daniella Ramirez earned the win for Southwest. She pitched six innings, allowing two runs, five hits, striking out one, and walking one. Madelyn VonCanon took the loss for Southeast. She tossed, allowing three runs, two hits, and walking one.
Southwest collected nine hits. Makayla and Asharah Thibodeaux each collected multiple hits for Southwest. Asharah and Makayla all had two hits to lead Southwest.
