Northwest Region Survives Late Midwest Region Rally, 4-3

Midwest watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-3 loss to Northwest on Saturday. Northwest scored on a fielder's choice and a double by Caiden Thomsen in the first inning.

Northwest took an early lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Ethan Bruns scored one run for Northwest.

Andrew Hall earned the win for Northwest. He threw six innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, striking out five, and walking one. Ethan took the loss for Midwest. He pitched six innings, surrendering four runs, seven hits, striking out six, and walking one.

Marcus Phillips led Midwest with three runs batted in. He went 2-for-3 on the day. Midwest was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Marcus had the most chances in the field with ten.

Northwest had seven hits in the game. Caiden Thomsen and Joe Baffney each collected multiple hits for Northwest. Caiden went 3-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in. Northwest didn't commit a single error in the field. Caiden had the most chances in the field with 12.
