Holbrook Little League, from Jackson, New Jersey, captured the 2017 Little League Baseball® Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament by defeating Thurmont Little League, from Thurmont, Maryland, 8-3.
New Jersey League captured the lead in the first inning. New Jersey scored one run when Chris Cartnick homered with two outs in the first inning.
Maryland scored three runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to a walk by Peyton Castellow, a walk by Donovan Baker, and a single by Logan Simanski.

New Jersey scored six runs in the second inning. The big inning for New Jersey came thanks to a walk , a single by Andy Osmond, a double by Garrett Drew, and a home run by Tai Mann.
Tai earned the win for New Jersey. He pitched three and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs, three hits, and striking out five. Logan took the loss for Maryland. He tossed one and one-third innings, allowing seven runs, six hits, striking out two, and walking one.
Home runs for New Jersey came when Tai homered in the second inning and Chris homered in the first inning.
Maryland collected six hits. Logan and Josh Skowronski each collected multiple hits for Maryland. Josh and Logan each collected two hits to lead Maryland.
New Jersey had 11 hits in the game. Tai, Chris, and Garrett each collected multiple hits for New Jersey. New Jersey-Holbrook Little League didn't commit a single error in the field. Charlie Meglio had the most chances in the field with seven.
