New England Region Eliminates Mid-Atlantic Region, 12-2

Troy Ashkinos drove in five on two hits to lead New England past Mid-Atlantic 12-2 on Wednesday. Troy drove in runs on a grand slam in the fourth and a single in the fifth.

New England grabbed an early lead. New England scored on a double , a fielder's choice by Aidan Rivera, a single by Owen Kalagher, and a fielder's choice by Leo Randazzo in the first inning.

New England took an early lead in the first inning. New England scored two runs when Matthew Vivona doubled with zero outs in the first inning.

Ethan Righter earned the win for New England. He threw four and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs, three hits, and striking out eight. Dean Daddio took the loss for Mid-Atlantic. He tossed three and a third innings, giving up nine runs, seven hits, and striking out one.

New England had nine hits in the game. Michael Iannazzo and Troy Ashkinos each collected multiple hits for New England. Troy and Michael each collected two hits to lead New England. New England was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Aidan had the most chances in the field with eight.

Dean led Mid-Atlantic with one run batted in. He went 1-for-1 on the day.
