Mexico defeated Asia-Pacific 1-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Andre Garza struck out Kyum Ahn to finish off the game.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Mexico pitchers struck out ten, while hurlers for Asia-Pacific sat down seven.
One bright spot for Asia-Pacific was a single by Kyum Ahn in the second inning.

Jorge Garcia earned the win for Mexico. He threw four innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, and striking out five. Andre Garza recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Mexico. Kyum took the loss for Asia-Pacific. He pitched two and two-thirds innings, giving up one run, zero hits, and striking out four.
Jorge Lambarria led Mexico with one hit in two at bats. Mexico was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jorge made the most plays with ten.
Kyum went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Asia-Pacific in hits.
