Meet the Teams Playing in the 2017 Little League Baseball® World Series
The 71st Little League Baseball® World Series begins on Thursday, Aug. 17, in South Williamsport, Pa. There are 16 teams, eight U.S. Region teams and eight teams from International Regions, competing for this year’s Little League Baseball World Series Championship.

Region: Asia-Pacific
Little League: West Seoul Little League
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Record in Asia-Pacific Regional tournament: 4-0
LLB World Series appearance facts: Third time in the last four years, and the fifth time overall, that a team from South Korea will represent the Asia-Pacific Region at the LLBWS.
Region Championship Game: 6-1 victory over Tung Yuan Little League (Chinese Taipei).
First Little League World Series game: Friday, August 18 at 6 p.m. Game 7 at Volunteer Stadium.
Region: Australia
Little League: Hills Little League
Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Region Championship Game: 8-4 victory over Swan Hills Little League.
Record in Australia Regional tournament: 7-0
LLB World Series appearance facts: First Australian-chartered league to attend the Little League Baseball World Series in back-to-back season.
First Little League World Series game: Friday, August 18 at 2 p.m. Game 5 at Volunteer Stadium.
Region: Canada
Little League: White Rock-South Surrey Little League
Location: White Rock, British Columbia
Region Championship Game: 12-5 victory over Quebec.
Record in Canada regional tournament: 8-0
LLB World Series appearance facts: This is White Rock-South Surrey Little League’s first trip to the Little League Baseball World Series.
First Little League World Series game: Thursday, August 17 at 5 p.m. Game 3 at Volunteer Stadium.
Region: Caribbean
Little League: Los Bravos de Pontezuela Little League
Location: Dominican Republic
Region Championship Game: 8-4 victory over Aruba
Record in Caribbean regional tournament: 4-1
LLB World Series appearance facts: This is Los Bravos de Pontezuela Little League’s second trip to the LLBWS in three years.
First Little League World Series game: Friday, August 18 at 6 p.m. Game 7 at Volunteer Stadium.
Region: Europe and Africa
Little League: Emilia Little League
Location: Emilia, Italy
Region championship Game: 12-2 victory over London Youth Baseball Little League (United Kingdom).
Record in Europe and Africa regional tournament: 5-0
LLB World Series appearance facts: This is the second consecutive trip to Williamsport for Emilia, with some players and the manager returning from last year.
First Little League World Series game: Thursday, August 17 at 5 p.m. Game 3 at Volunteer Stadium.
Region: Japan
Little League: Tokyo Kitasuna Little League
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Region Championship Game: 17-0 victory over Chibashi Little League.
Record in regional tournament: 4-0
LLB World Series facts: This will be the sixth time overall and third time in the last four years that Tokyo Kitasuna Little League represents Japan in Williamsport; Tokyo Kitasuna has won the LLBWS three times (2011, 2012, 2015); this will be the 28th time a team from Japan has competed at the LLBWS.

Little League: Luz-Maracaibo Little League
Town and state (where league is located): Maracaibo, Venezuela
Region Championship Game: 8-0 victory over Falcón Little League (Colombia).
Record in regional tournament: 8-0
LLB World Series facts: This will be the 19th appearance in Williamsport by a team from Venezuela, and the third time in the last four years; Including this year, a team from Maracaibo has made the Little League Baseball World Series 14 times dating back to 1965 and has won the world championship in both 1994 and 2000.
First World Series game: Thursday, August 17 at 1 p.m. Game 1 at Volunteer Stadium.
Region: Mexico
Little League: Guadalupe Treviño Kelly Little League
Town and state: Tamaulipas, Mexico
Region Championship Game: 3-1 victory over Matamoros Little League.
Record in regional tournament: 7-0
LLB World Series facts: This will be Guadalupe Treviño Kelly Little League’s second trip to Williamsport in eight years (2009); Mexico owns the distinction of being the first ever International team to win the Little League Baseball World Series (1957 behind Angel Macias’ perfect game).
First World Series game: Thursday, August 17 at 1p.m. Game 1 at Volunteer Stadium.
Region: Southwest
Little League: Lufkin Little League
Town and state: Lufkin, Texas
Region Championship Game: 2-1 over McAllister Park National Little League from San Antonio, Texas.
Record in regional tournament: 4-0
LLB World Series facts: It is Lufkin Little League’s first trip to the LLBWS and the sixth time a team from Texas East has made it to Williamsport.
First World Series game: Thursday, August 17 at 7 p.m. Game 4 at Lamade Stadium.
Region: Southeast
Little League: North State Little League
Town and state: Greenville, North Carolina
Region Championship Game: 8-6 victory over Peachtree City Little League from Peachtree City, Georgia.
Record in regional tournament: 4-0
LLB World Series facts: It will be North State Little League’s first trip to the LLBWS but the fifth time a team from North Carolina has made it to Williamsport (2 out of 5 from Greenville, N.C.).
First World Series game: Friday, August 18 at 8 p.m. Game 8 at Lamade Stadium.
Region: West
Little League: Rancho Santa Margarita Little League
Town and state: Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
Region Championship Game: 11-7 victory over Dixie Little League, from St. George, Utah.
Record in regional tournament: 4-0
LLB World Series facts: This is the first time that Rancho Santa Margarita Little League has had a team advance to the LLBWS but the fifth team from Southern California since 2010.
First World Series game: Friday, August 18 at 4 p.m. Game 6 at Lamade Stadium.
Region: Northwest
Little League: Walla Walla Valley Little League
Town and state: Walla Walla, Washington
Region championship Game: 4-3 victory over La Grande Little League from La Grande, Oregon.
Record in regional tournament: 4-1
LLB World Series facts: 2017 will be the first year in Williamsport for a team from Walla Walla National Little League. Washington has advanced out of the Northwest region four times in the last eight years.
First World Series game: Friday, August 18 at 4 p.m. Game 6 at Lamade Stadium.
Region: Mid-Atlantic
Little League: Holbrook Little League
Town and state: Jackson, New Jersey
Region Championship Game: 8-3 over Thurmont Little League from Thurmont, Maryland.
Record in regional tournament: 4-0
LLB World Series facts: This is the first time a team from Holbrook Little League will play in the LLBWS but the third team from New Jersey since 2010.
First World Series game: Thursday, August 17 at 3 p.m. Game 2 at Lamade Stadium.
Region: Great Lakes
Little League: Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little League
Town and state: Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
Region Championship Game: 6-3 victory over Hinsdale Little League from Hinsdale, Illinois.
Record in regional tournament: 4-1
LLB World Series facts: This is the third time a team from Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little League has advanced to the LLBWS, the last being in 2013.

Little League: Fairfield American Little League
Town and state: Fairfield, Connecticut
Region Championship Game: 10-0 victory over Maine-South Portland American Little League from Maine.
Record in regional tournament: 3-0
LLB World Series facts: Fairfield American has advanced to Williamsport for the third time since 2010 and are the fourth team from Connecticut in that span.
First World Series game: Thursday, August 17 at 3 p.m. Game 2 at Lamade Stadium.
Region: Midwest
Little League: Sioux Falls Little League
Town and state: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Region Championship Game: 6-0 victory over Missouri-Webb City Little League from Webb City, Missouri.
Record in regional tournament: 4-0
LLB World Series facts: South Dakota has been represented in the LLBWS in three times in the last eight years.
