Great Lakes and Europe-Africa traded the lead back-and-forth on Monday, but eventually Great Lakes prevailed 11-7. Great Lakes took the lead for good in the second inning. The game was tied at seven with Great Lakes batting in the bottom of the second when Joseph Wisniewski singled off of Riccardo Nepoti, driving in one run.
Europe-Africa scored six runs in the first inning, but Great Lakes still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Europe-Africa came thanks to a single by Lorenzo Bacci, a double by Nicola Spagnolo, a single by Riccardo Nepoti, a single by Sebastiano Catellani, and a single by Cristian Laghi.
Europe-Africa captured the lead in the first inning. Lorenzo drove in one when he singled in the first inning.
Great Lakes took the lead for good with one run in the second inning.

Jordan Arseneau earned the win for Great Lakes. He tossed one and one-third innings, surrendering one run, one hit, striking out one, and walking one. Riccardo took the loss for Europe-Africa. He went two innings, surrendering eight runs, five hits, and striking out five.
Braden Campbell started the game for Great Lakes. He pitched two-thirds of an inning, giving up six runs, six hits, and walking one.
Home runs for Great Lakes came when Tommy Schoeck homered in the fourth inning and Jordan homered in the first inning.
Jordan went 1-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in.
Europe-Africa collected nine hits. Nicola and Simone Ioli each collected multiple hits for Europe-Africa.
