Asia-Pacific Region Tops Caribbean Region, 10-1

Friday was a long day for Caribbean, as it fell to Asia-Pacific 10-1.

Asia-Pacific took an early lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Kyum Ahn drove in one run when he singled.

Caribbean evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning. An error scored one run for Caribbean.

Asia-Pacific took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Dongheon Kim homered off of Angel Genao, driving in three runs.

Asia-Pacific scored four runs in the fourth inning. Asia-Pacific's big inning was driven by a home run by Jinwon Shin and a passed ball.

Kyum earned the win for Asia-Pacific. He threw two and two-thirds innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, striking out four, and walking zero. Jaehyun Kim recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Asia-Pacific. Angel took the loss for Caribbean. He pitched three innings, allowing four runs, six hits, and striking out five.

SeongHyeon Lee started the game for Asia-Pacific. He pitched two and a third innings, giving up one run, one hit, and striking out five.

Home runs for Asia-Pacific came when Yejoon Khym homered in the fifth inning, Dongheon homered in the third inning, and Jinwon homered in the fourth and fifth innings.

Benny Triunfel and Dariel Salas each managed one hit to lead Caribbean.

Asia-Pacific had 11 hits in the game. Yejoon, Jinwon, and Hyunsuk Choi each collected multiple hits for Asia-Pacific.
