Mexico Region Eliminates Europe-Africa Region, 13-0

Europe-Africa fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-0 loss to Mexico on Saturday. Mexico scored on a double by Saul Soto and a single by Jorge Garcia in the first inning.

Mexico captured the lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Saul Soto drove in one run when he doubled.

Mexico scored six runs in the second inning. The big inning for Mexico came thanks to a home run by Isaac Miranda and a home run by Andre Garza.

Rosendo Cantu earned the win for Mexico. He tossed one inning, allowing zero runs, zero hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Carlos Garcia recorded the last out to earn the save for Mexico. Simone Ioli took the loss for Europe-Africa. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing ten runs, nine hits, and striking out six.

Andre started the game for Mexico. He tossed one inning, giving up zero runs, zero hits, striking out one, and walking zero.

Home runs for Mexico came when Isaac homered in the second inning and Andre homered in the second inning.

Europe-Africa didn't commit a single error in the field. Antonio Casadio had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Mexico collected 13 hits. Saul, Diego Diaz, Samuel Juarez, and Isaac each collected multiple hits for Mexico. Saul went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Mexico in hits. Mexico was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Samuel made the most plays with eight.
