Japan Region Tops Asia-Pacific Region, 4-1

Japan grabbed an early lead on its way to a 4-1 victory over Asia-Pacific on Sunday. Japan scored on a single by Ryota Ono and a single by Yuya Nakajima in the first inning.

Asia-Pacific captured the lead in the first inning.

Japan took the lead for good with two runs in the first inning. In the first Ryota Ono singled off of Hosung Lee, driving in one run and Yuya Nakajima singled off of Hosung, driving in one run.

Riku Goto earned the win for Japan. He tossed six innings, allowing one run, five hits, and striking out seven. Hosung took the loss for Asia-Pacific. He threw three innings, allowing four runs, four hits, and striking out four.

Natsuki Yajima, Yuya, and Ryota each drove in one run to lead Japan. Japan was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Natsuki made the most plays with eight.
