Canada Region Tops Latin America Region, 7-3

Latin America watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 7-3 loss to Canada on Sunday. Canada took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

Canada took an early lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Reid Hefflick drove in three runs when he homered.

Canada scored three runs in the third inning. Canada scored its runs on a home run by Nathaniel Factor.

Reid earned the win for Canada. He tossed three and two-thirds innings, surrendering three runs, five hits, striking out seven, and walking one. Reece Usselman recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Canada. Dario Cardozo took the loss for Latin America. He pitched one-third of an inning, surrendering three runs, one hit, striking out one, and walking one.

Home runs for Canada came when Reid homered in the first inning and Nathaniel homered in the third inning.

Jhann Bozo led Latin America with two hits in two at bats.

Canada had eight hits in the game. Daniel Orfaly and Reid each collected multiple hits for Canada. Canada didn't commit a single error in the field. Matteo Manzi had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
