Canada Region Powers Past Europe-Africa Region, 12-2

Canada took an early lead in the first inning. Chase Marshall homered on a 2-2 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

Europe-Africa evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning. Europe-Africa scored one run when Lorenzo Bacci singled with two outs in the first inning.

Canada took the lead for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Robert Orr singled off of Riccardo Nepoti, driving in two runs.

Canada scored seven runs in the third inning. Canada's big inning was driven by a single by Grayson Frers, a walk by Sheldyn Scott, a walk by Robert, and a grand slam by Chase.

Chase earned the win for Canada. He tossed one and two-thirds innings, allowing one run, one hit, striking out four, and walking one. Riccardo took the loss for Europe-Africa. He threw two and a third innings, surrendering five runs, seven hits, striking out one, and walking zero.

Reece Usselman started the game for Canada. He threw two and a third innings, giving up one run, two hits, and striking out six.

Simone Ioli and Lorenzo each drove in one run to lead Europe-Africa.

Canada had 12 hits in the game. Ty Fluet, Nathaniel Factor, Matteo Manzi, and Chase each collected multiple hits for Canada. Chase led Canada with five runs batted in. He went 2-for-3 on the day.
